General Manager Named for Bottleworks' The Garage Food Hall

INDIANAPOLIS (March 5, 2020) – Geronimo Hospitality Group has named Nicole Ulrich the general manager of The Garage, a 30,000-square-foot marketplace coming to Bottleworks District this fall. This project will be the city’s first food hall, bringing a variety of culinary styles to the heart of Indianapolis.

Prior to joining Bottleworks, Ulrich served as the director of operations at Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Indianapolis. In addition to leading and managing all hotel operations, she also supervised HR functions on the property and managed expenses to maximize hotel profitability. Ulrich has also previously served as the director of food and beverage for several hotels across the country.

Ulrich’s 26 years of experience in the hospitality, food and beverage industries will play an integral role in the success of The Garage’s grand opening this fall. As general manager, her responsibilities will include onboarding new vendors and managing employees as well as ensuring guest satisfaction.

“I am excited to be a part of Bottleworks and lead the growing list of restaurants coming to this new community-focused marketplace,” Ulrich said. “My previous work experience has allowed me to grasp the unique culture of Indianapolis, and my goal is to use that knowledge to provide a variety of offerings to please every guest, giving them the ability to connect with authentic Midwest brands all in one central location,” Ulrich said.

The Garage will delight guests with Art Deco terracotta facades, industrial architecture, and large roll-up doors for a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. Hosting more than 25 food and beverage vendors, the food hall will bring top culinary talent, artisan craftsman, residents and visitors together. The Garage is just one facet of the new Bottleworks District, a $300 million, 12-acre urban mixed-use development reimagining the iconic Coca-Cola building in downtown Indianapolis.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring on Nicole to lead such an important part of our project,” said Jeff Whiteman, Chief Operating Officer of Geronimo Hospitality Group. “Situated in the Mass Ave corridor, The Garage’s vendors will provide a fusion of past and present in the heart of historic neighborhoods. Bottleworks will change how locals and tourists experience the food scene in Indianapolis forever.”

Ulrich’s announcement comes on the heels of the addition of Sundry and Vice and Certain Feelings Coffee Company – a new concept by the owners of Coat Check Coffee, Provider and Strange Bird – to The Garage. The Garage now has 18 confirmed food and drink options.
